Mushroom Foraging

Need help with identification?

We recommend visiting the “Mushrooms… Identification – Emerging – Food Safety” section for more information.

I picked some mushrooms – who can I sell them to?

Here are the important points to consider:

  • If you are an amateur forager (not recognized as a professional forager), you should keep your harvests for personal consumption only, for food safety reasons.
  • If you would like to be recognized as a professional forager, please contact us or visit the “Building Your Business” section.

Home Mushroom Cultivation

I’d like to start cultivating forest mushrooms at home. Who should I contact?

We invite you to visit the Cultivated Mushrooms section. At the bottom of the page, you’ll find resources for mushroom cultivation.
