On les regroupe souvent sous le nom de bolet orang\u00e9 ou de bolet des \u00e9pinettes. Ces diff\u00e9rentes esp\u00e8ces se relaient de la mi-juin jusqu\u2019\u00e0 la fin de septembre pour assurer une pr\u00e9sence continue dans tous les peuplements o\u00f9 des arbres r\u00e9sineux de plus de quinze ans sont pr\u00e9sents *<span class=\"champ-numero\">1*<\/span> *<span class=\"champ-numero\">2*<\/span>; plusieurs esp\u00e8ces sont associ\u00e9es aux peupliers et aux bouleaux. On les retrouve m\u00eame sur nos pelouses lorsque des conif\u00e8res, des peupliers ou des bouleaux croissent \u00e0 proximit\u00e9. Certaines esp\u00e8ces pr\u00e9f\u00e8rent le climat plus chaud de la for\u00eat feuillue, tandis que d\u2019autres vont pr\u00e9f\u00e9rer le climat plus froid de la for\u00eat bor\u00e9ale.<\/p>\n<p>Les bolets \u00e0 pied rugueux se caract\u00e9risent par la pr\u00e9sence de rugosit\u00e9s sur leur pied *<span class=\"champ-numero\">4* *<\/span><span class=\"champ-numero\">6*<\/span>. En bas \u00e2ge, celles-ci sont p\u00e2les *<span class=\"champ-numero\">5*<\/span> pour devenir rapidement fonc\u00e9es ou noires d\u00e8s que le pied cro\u00eet en hauteur *<span class=\"champ-numero\">6*<\/span> et que le chapeau amorce son d\u00e9veloppement. Les chapeaux des bolets de ce groupe arborent des teintes de brun ou de rouille *<span class=\"champ-numero\">4*<\/span> *<span class=\"champ-numero\">5*<\/span> *<span class=\"champ-numero\">6*<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>Tr\u00e8s rapidement la chair du pied a tendance \u00e0 devenir fibreuse *<span class=\"champ-numero\">11*<\/span> *<span class=\"champ-numero\">16*<\/span>. Chez d\u2019autres esp\u00e8ces, la cuticule du chapeau recouvre les tubes \u00e0 la marge *<span class=\"champ-numero\">9*<\/span> *<span class=\"champ-numero\">10*<\/span>. Chez certaines, les tubes changent de couleur au froissement <span class=\"champ-numero\">10<\/span>; tout comme ceux-ci, la chair du pied et du chapeau peut changer totalement ou partiellement de couleur \u00e0 la coupe *<span class=\"champ-numero\">12*<\/span> *<span class=\"champ-numero\">13* *<\/span><span class=\"champ-numero\">14*<\/span>. Ces changements sont un crit\u00e8re important pour distinguer les esp\u00e8ces et ils se font plus fr\u00e9quemment vers le bleu vert *<span class=\"champ-numero\">14*<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>La cueillette se fait en coupant le pied au-dessus de la zone terreuse et les pieds devraient toujours \u00eatre orient\u00e9s vers le bas pour \u00e9viter que du sable ne tombe dans les tubes. Ici *<span class=\"champ-numero\">13*<\/span>, nous sommes en pr\u00e9sence d\u2019un bolet dont la chair change totalement de couleur au contact de l\u2019oxyg\u00e8ne de l\u2019air.<\/p>\n<p>Beaucoup d\u2019insectes a\u00e9riens viennent pondre leurs \u0153ufs \u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur des tubes ou dans la chair du chapeau *<span class=\"champ-numero\">15*<\/span>. Les n\u00e9matodes et les larves des insectes vivant dans le sol envahissent les fructifications en p\u00e9n\u00e9trant par la base du pied pour y creuser des galeries jusque dans le chapeau *<span class=\"champ-numero\">16*<\/span>. Les limaces appr\u00e9cient leur chair pour leur apport nutritif importants et de qualit\u00e9 *<span class=\"champ-numero\">14*<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>Les photos de famille permettent de voir l\u2019\u00e9volution du jeune bouton jusqu\u2019\u00e0 la maturit\u00e9 *<span class=\"champ-numero\">18*<\/span>.
